and an ipod in a pear tree

Siobhan tagged me with a meme. "List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether or not they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now."

Music is everything to me. I can't write without plugging myself into a pair of headphones!

Black Cat by Broadcast (video link)

Eagles Fly by Blue Ribbon (free mp3 download)

Pulling Our Weight by The Radio Dept. (cute music video--love the animation!)

Cellphone's Dead by Beck (video by the amazing Michel Gondry)

I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab For Cutie (another beautiful animated video)

Like A Pen by The Knife (their videos always rock)

Tear You Apart by She Wants Revenge (crazyass video)

Tag! Now you're it!

In the meantime, I'm working on another manuscript. My agent will check out Book Number Two over her winter vacay. My editor emailed with news about the cover:

They are still working on it, as they just had some feedback from the HarperCollins sales group. They're making some adjustments, and will hopefully show me again right after the holidays.

The choco-hippos and other Eastern European goodies were a big hit with my publishing peeps! In return, Julie sent me a sweet-smelling candle and soap from Sabon. (I can't wait to soak in the bath with a new book!) When I mentioned that I'm going snowboarding for the first time, she said: Buy a pair of padded snowpants. I told her that my butt has enough natural padding...though my boyfriend thinks I need knee pads. You can bet this Florida girl will be wobbling down the mountain with music under those earmuffs!
