The check was in the mail! It arrived with a W-9 form and another copy of my contract. This is the first half of my advance--slightly smaller because my agent gets a pecent too (she earned it!) Above the check is a paragraph that reads:
Deal # (blah blah), Untitled OCD novel, Haper Collins Publishers, Advance on signing.
Now it truly feels real.
